He has an off beat humor that I can see some reviewers dont appreciate, but I can't get enough of! This is not a show for people looking for a serious and in depth look at a destination. I watched the episode which they were travelling Florance and they didn't show anything other than them talking to each other about history and other things. This week Richard is joined by actor and writer Aisling Bea, and together the pair head to Hungary’s capital, Budapest for a non-stop weekend seeing all the sites. Many of Budapest’s greatest landmarks lie along the its banks, so tick them off on a 70-minute sightseeing cruise (from 4,200HUF/£11.50). I happened to love the fact that he went to Paris, looked at the line for the Louvre, and noped out. Every episode brings several minutes worth of uncontrollable laughter, which is hard to find elsewhere. They could have said those things while showing streets, statues or buildings... Absolutely awful presenter, no passion and no enthusiasm, the typical boring English man devoid of emotions unless under the influence of alcohol He also has a dry sense of humor that is not funny on this show. Holl ywood actor Rebel Wilson joins Richard for a fun-packed whizz round Florence in a mini-break mixing art, action, gelato, a drive in a classic Alfa Romeo, and some tripe.
Comedy and travel....what more can you ask for? Joining him to get the lowdown on Switzerland’s largest city is comedy legend Frank Skinner. You have to listen carefully, his comments and narration have had me laughing even days later. It even makes me laugh to see when some of his guests not know what to make of him, and delight when they take him in stride and just enjoy the unexpected journey. Travel Man: 48 Hours In Budapest airs on Monday 20 March 2017 from 8.30pm-9.00pm on Channel 4. I'm not laughing but rather saying, "Please stop." LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY, even if half of the references are lost on me because I'm not British. Yeah, I like Richard Ayoade a lot, but he is primarily funny and entertaining rather than informative in these shows. Richard's choices of what to do in 48 hours are boring. However, this show is such a bore. His deadpan sense of humor, rich quirky vocabulary and over all unmistakable charm make for a very entertaining travel show. This show used to be a perfect blend of informative travel advice and comedic value, but recently has become solely the latter. Budapest has a rich heritage and tons of culture to go along with it.

I adore this show and this man. Day 1, travel from Budapest to Berlin by sleeper train Metropol leaving Budapest Keleti at 19:25 and arrives Berlin Hbf at 09:48 next morning.

The series is good enough but unfortunately is ruined by the presenter who I think is not funny at all and tries too hard to sound posh.
