This is nothing. What had me confused on the end was how the main character was pressurized and influenced by going with the prophets lie just so he can keep everyone pleased with him. The doubt in the main characters head was reason and common sense trying to explain things that the author couldn’t but this doubt isn’t bad because its not holding him back from anything but the truth and that truth is that these people are being tricked into believing that they can just be healed of any disability or ailment just through belief. I feel as the prophet being blind himself was symbolic to blind hope. Who be dis for crying out loud?! From this quote, I could tell that the Prophet wasn’t blind but I feel as though he kept that as an appearance because people would believe it even more if God gave him sight.
