The Los Angeles Eco-Village Intentional Community consists of approximately 40 folks who have moved to the neighborhood to live more ecologically and more cooperatively. Earthaven is an aspiring ecovillage in a mountain forest setting near Asheville, North Carolina. Most of us are demonstrating the processes—ecologically, economically, and socially —that manifest an ecovillage. As a result of Permaculture Institute’s diploma program, I was able to create and accomplish a meaningful program especially tailored to my dreams and aspirations.
