Students will develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to manufacturing and will learn about pathways that lead to careers in the industry.This course introduces students to the manufacturing industry by giving them an opportunity to design and fabricate products using a variety of processes, tools and equipment. Students may have opportunities to obtain industry-standard certification and training. Students will be conducting legal research, arguing cases before a mock court and will be expected to complete physical training to assist in the preparation for the police physical readiness exam. The first five characters of the course code are set out by the Ministry of Education. There is a set of 18 compulsory (mandatory) credits that students must successfully complete in order to meet the requirements for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
