Most of the guests who stay overnight are doing so because they either don't want to pay the prices of, or cannot get in to The Inn at Little Washington...a relais gourmand mobil 5 star restaurant located 1/4 mile down the road from The Middleton Inn. The breakfasts are outstanding in taste and bountiful.

Unbeknownst to me, Mary Ann also contacted the latter and told them that we were dining for a special occasion, complete with details of our names and so on. I believe that the owner of the Inn also boards horses and the one of the drawbacks was the barking dogs (taken in after 6 pm and didn't hear a peep out of them after that). After a tour of the Inn, we were told that wine would be served that evening and that there was port in the sitting room available as well. The Middleton Inn is nicely decorated and very clean. The Cottage The Churchill The Ascot Middleton offers five elegant accommodations in the manor house and historic cottage, all with working fireplaces and mountain views. Will always remember my "Warrior" cats hunting moment, the view, Colonel's wag and your warm description of my cousin enjoying your breakfast.
