I thought it should be farther away, I just don’t think it matches.If this list was a party, Downtown 5th is the person who throws up.I’ll take the design of Downtown 5th over Natiivo any day.My most favorite ones are Legacy Miami, Okan Tower, Block 45, Luma Apartments, Nativo, 830 Brickell, Downtown Fifth, Aston Martin, and the AC Hotel Marriott & Westin Hotel project, and Yotelpad.Oh and 2000 Biscayne, Modera, Missoni Bala and Virgin Hotel.I’d just like to know why someone pays $3 million for a 2,000 sqft condo on the third floor with a view of the building next door.
Do research on China’s military motives if you want something to really ulcerate over.Anybody notice the rendering of the Virgin Hotel has a full-fledged train system, and not crappy Coke can minivan also known as the Metromover?The Metromover cars have air conditioning and are free to jump on. All of the projects listed are within the downtown Miami/Brickell area.Permitting is underway, with groundbreaking expected in the first three months of 2020.
The new guitar Hotel at Seminole hard rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood provides more hotel rooms to make the Casino more attractive but it’s definitely a start to increasing hotel room capacity for the megamall.Now of course the guitar hotel has already opened in October 2019I hope more world center projects start like Legacy Miami Worldcenter. I agree, it is messing up the aesthetic of the city. Miami has lots of good examples, including many on this list. Including a super tall 1000’+!!! Then tourists would tour south Florida way for longer durations, meaning more $$$. Some of the projects are using local, state and federal tax breaks for the projects. Middle age man walking and drinking something out of a large cup container, and when he finished, he just casually tossed the container over his shoulder onto the ground and then stopped to talk to two of his buddies in Spanish without giving what he had just done a thought.We should honestly form an enclave (like Little Havana) for Latin Americans and probably push them up towards Ft. Lauderdale. Push for better, not just more.Like the old saying goes, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”Besides, anyone of those planned towers are still better to look at than another empty, vacant, weed covered lot.I still can’t believe the AM Residences project and how close it it to the water with the very real threat of sea level rise. All cities do have those issues, but Miami should not let that happen.I’m only against how Downtown 5th is going to neighbor Okan tower.
