While bias and shortcomings in a historical perspective cheapen Meacham’s book, it still proved to be a significant piece in dissecting Andrew Jackson’s life while inWallace conveyed the issue of Indian removal as a central subject during the early to mid-ninteenth century.
For this reason, I believe Meacham has written a work that is of value to both believers and skeptics.I'm a Jon Meacham fan so seeing him stretch out of his comfort zone intrigued me, I was not disappointed.
