She helps advance the Provost’s Office’s university-wide agenda and works closely with Yale leaders in all planning functions of the university. A decade before her appointment, she was a student in Trumbull College, and graduated in 2006 with a degree in political science. She was a member of several legal teams representing corporate clients in various breach-of-contract, fraud, products liability, qui tam, and securities cases.
Before joining Yale, she practiced as an attorney specializing in litigation at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP.Nilakshi, who is from Sri Lanka, is a Senior Fellow of the Humanity in Action Human Rights Organization, a fellow of Ezra Stiles College, and an advisory board member to Yale’s Asian-American Cultural Center.
