The fans are really enthusiastic about the new stuff. Now that I’ve got back with Jack Owen on guitar, it’s like all the things that I wanted to do have kind of come of come together with this album.Jack’s been wanting to do stuff and I’ve been wanting to do stuff with Jack writing-wise and it just… well we’ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to work together again, so I think that’s gonna help keep it interesting for all of us, because we all kind of feed off of each other’s energy.

Jack and I never had any problems with each other when we were in the band or when we were out of the band, so we were always friends but just disconnected.At one point we just started talking casually. What can fans expect from the new album?CB: Fans will definitely find a revamped and very focused Six Feet Under and as far as the music goes more intense more, more dynamic, but still holding true to what hardcore is and that‘s aggressive death metal. He kind of understands where I come from vocally, how I approach things structure-wise, the physicality of my writing and where I go from that point as in the syncopation against the rhythm.Well thanks, man, thanks. I’m just very interested in many facets of existence, I always have been, and I’ve been criticised for it by people who don’t know me and people that do know me, because I find this to be a puzzle. Jeff’s honed in on some weird frequencies [laughs], I know Jack is as I’ve worked with him before, [laughs] I know Marco is for sure, and Ray’s a great guitarist to work with. I think the themes lyrically, fans will find are the same subject matter as I’ve covered but in a different maybe more fascinating way.Recently there have been some lineup changes in Six Feet Under, did the new lineup affect the writing process for the new record?CB: Well not the actual process. It was no different than other albums that we wrote, that I had a part in writing, like I think I said interesting time changes and tempos and stuff like that, so yeah. I think the fans really appreciate it. That’s what I had really been waiting for many years for, be able to write with someone who had a more conscious approach to their writing style and technique. That’s always been something that kids want to do, tell their favorite musician how much they enjoy what they do.
